Sometimes we can find that life's challenges can feel overwhelming and as if there is nowhere to turn. What therapy can teach us, is that we are all capable of change. Therapy can help us identify the factors that unintentionally keep us stuck, including unhelpful thinking styles and unhelpful behaviours.
I believe in a collaborative and individualised approach to therapy, where we work together to explore your difficulties and develop strategies for positive change.
Drawing from evidence-based interventions, including CBT and EMDR, I aim to empower you in your journey towards improved mental and physical well-being. Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or the psychological impact of a chronic health condition, I am here to support you every step of the way.
During the initial consultation, we will explore what brings you to therapy and determine if Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) would be beneficial for you. If we agree that CBT or EMDR is suitable, we'll discuss treatment goals and develop a personalised treatment plan.
If, after the assessment, we find that CBT or EMDR may not be the best fit for addressing your symptoms, I will provide recommendations for alternative treatment pathways.
Once we've established treatment goals and a plan, we'll agree on the proposed number of sessions. This may be adjusted based on additional issues or difficulties that arise during treatment and that you wish to address. We'll regularly review progress and the number of sessions required, which may result in adjustments to the original plan.
